MARLOW - "It's a case of justice not being solved at all," said Doris Corliss.

The death of her brother Russell Bean is a mystery that's haunted the small town of Marlow for decades.

Bean, 26, vanished in September 1978. His family hoped he had taken off and was living happily somewhere. But Corliss says she knew something was wrong.

As investigator's failed to locate Bean, his second wife Sylvia remarried Bean's friend, former Marlow Police Chief Robert Chambers.

Then, a twist in the case. Chamber's father giving a death bed confession in 1988, saying Bean's body was buried on the property he shared with his son Robert.

After three days of digging, Bean's body was found. The Medical Examiner ruled Bean died of blunt force trauma.

Chambers was arrested but when the case was presented to a Grand Jury, it was dismissed for unknown reasons.

Chambers resigned his position as police chief and no other arrests have been made in the case.
