Our next snow maker has arrived, and this one won't include any rain like many before have, it will be too cold for that. Snow will begin during the early morning hours on Monday and could be heavy at times. Expect around an inch in south-western locations, 2-4" for most of the area, with higher pockets along the seacoast and in the mountains seeing 4-6". High temperatures will be in the 20's.
Monday night, the snow tapers off but the winds will increase. Temperatures will drop to the single digits, but with the winds, will feel like it's below zero in many locations. The wind will be even stronger on Tuesday, gusting into the 30's with blowing snow, making those temperatures in the teen's and low 20's feel like the single digits.
The winds will begin to decrease on Wednesday but temperatures will still be cool in the 20's even through the sun will be shining. The same goes for Thursday and Friday; mostly sunny with highs in the 20's, lows in the single digits and 10's.
Changes move in at the end of the week as our next snow maker approaches on Friday evening, bringing temperatures in the 20's and 30's for the weekend.
