NH1 Weather Insider with Meteorologist Bill Gile for August 16, 2015
Once the sun comes up Sunday, temps will quickly be on the rise as high pressure moves across NY state heading to the south of New England. Humidity levels will be climbing as well with highs in the 80's and a few low 90s with a good deal of sunshine from mountains to the beaches. A very weak sea breeze will form at the coast so that will be the coolest spot around 84 degrees.
High pressure will continue to wrap in warmer and more humid air for Monday and Tuesday as high climb between 90-95 degrees. 3 consecutive days at or above 90 and we will have ourselves a bonafide heat wave! We are moving into a stretch that will be our most prolonged stretch of heat and humidity of the summer. By Tuesday afternoon/evening there may be a shower or thundershower around as a weakening front to the north tries to move into NH and Wednesday will still threaten with a spot shower.
The second half of the week be as hot as temperatures settle back into the mid 80s, but it will still be humid right into next weekend with a fair amount of sunshine.
Have a great weekend!
