NH1 Weather Insider with Joe Joyce: September 26, 2015

NH1 Chief Meteorologist

What a weekend for this first weekend of fall! High pressure sits right over us all weekend with sunny days and crisp cool nights illuminated by the full Super Harvest Moon along with a Total Lunar Eclipse! Are you kidding me? Nope. This is epic stuff kids so make sure you get outside and take advantage of this. Sunshine Saturday with highs in the 60's, and cooler onshore winds at the coast. Sunshine Sunday with highs in the Lwr 70's with a warmer SW wind. A storm churs south of New England all weekend. High clouds will be advancing into Southern New England this weekend, but they will not be able to penetrate farther north! Even Sunday night, as high pressure pulls off the coast, clear skies will hold on just long enough to allow for epic viewing of the eclipse...but it will be close! Clouds will increase after midnight and be in place for Monday and Tuesday. Winds will be from the SW to start the week, so even with clouds, and breaks of sun...highs will be climbing back into the 70's. A cold front will push through quickly on Wednesday with clearing skies and cooling temperatures to end next week. Next Thursday and Friday will have highs only in the Lwr 60's even with the sunshine. Brr! Definite fall weather which should start to bring on the foliage season which is currently running about 2 weeks behind because of the warm September we have had! Have a great weekend!
