NH1 Weather Insider with Jenna Abate: February 24, 2016

Some snow falling during the night. Toward daybreak on Wednesday, parts of central and southern NH will start to see freezing rain and freezing drizzle, which could create an icy morning commute. Closer to the coast any snow from Tuesday evening will have changed to rain by daybreak though.

Through at least the first half of the day there will be pockets of freezing drizzle in the valleys where the ground remains cold. Otherwise there will be a lull through midday with temperatures slowly climbing to the mid 30s.

Then, the second round of precipitation moves in later in the afternoon primarily as rain, but there could still be a few cold pockets where freezing rain continues until just about nightfall. By Wednesday night, we'll all be enveloped in wind-driven heavy rain that lasts into Thursday afternoon while temperatures rise into the 40s and low-mid 50s statewide.
