NH1 Weather Insider with Cyrena Arnold for April 17, 2016

If you liked Saturday, you are going to love Sunday! Spring is in the air and we have some beautiful days in store, but changes are coming early in the week.

With all of this dry air and windy conditions, we are at an elevated risk for fires to spread, so be extra careful today with those barbecues, cookouts, and camp fires. If they get out of control, they have the potential to spread very quickly until rain comes in a few days, so be extra vigilant.

We are going to see highs climb into the 70's for most of the state on Sunday. The areas along the seacoast will stay in the 60's due to a light sea-breeze that will develop and keep the air just a little cooler in those locations. Expect sunny skies, and the clouds will stay away through the evening as temperatures drop back into the 30's tonight.

On Monday, we have another mild day with temperatures in the 60's and 70's, but clouds will move in from north to south during the afternoon, followed by rain in the evening associated with a cold front that is dropping through the area overnight into Tuesday.

After the front passes, temperatures will be back in the 50's, which is where we should be this time of year, and the slight chance of rain continues through the day on Tuesday. By Wednesday, we are back to mostly sunny skies, but temperatures will still be in the 50's during the day, near 30 overnight.

The warm air returns again on Thursday and Friday as we see the 60's come back, followed by some showers moving in Friday afternoon or evening. As of right now, it looks like the rain will end by Saturday morning, giving us another beautiful weekend in the 60's.
