Sunday will definitely be the pick of the weekend, but it won’t be perfect. As sunshine starts the day it will yield to developing midday clouds in an oppressively humid air mass as highs climb into the 80's and low 90's! Factor in the humidity, and it will feel more like 93-96. We will have to watch for afternoon thunderstorms to pop up especially between 3-10 PM, which could come with brief tropical-like heavy downpours and gusty winds.
The warm humid air mass will remain in place for Monday. A decaying cold front will be pushing through New England in the morning and it may have enough energy to kick off a spot shower. Sunshine will develop for the afternoon and highs will rise into the upper 80s. Once this front is off the coast, humidity levels will begin to fall some for Tuesday, but most of the heat will remain. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be in the mid 80's. Another cold front will push through Tuesday night which will really help to make it feel much more comfortable for the second half of the week. However, that front could also generate a quick round of showers or thunderstorms Tuesday night, so we’ll watch for that as well.
After that, it’s back to a good deal of sunshine for Thursday and Friday with temperatures remaining in the lower part of the 80's.
Have a great weekend!
