NH1 Weather Insider: August 31, 2015

Most of the entire upcoming week is going to be basically dry and uneventful weather-wise, but very warm and feeling a whole lot like mid-summer as the humidity returns.

High pressure will be in general control of the Northeast this week, but there will be a couple of cool fronts that will attempt to bring about a brief change. The first front will drop down from the north Tuesday that will essentially just create a wind shift to the northeast which will knock our temperatures back down a bit from the Monday highs that will climb between 87-90 degrees under mainly sunny skies. So, highs on Tuesday will be in the low-mid 80s, but still quite sunny. By Wednesday, the heat is back and temperatures will be rising back to around 90 along with higher humidity levels that will last into Thursday.

The next cold front moves in for Thursday evening that will actually produce some scattered thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon and evening, but at this point in time it doesn’t look as if anything severe will be firing up. Nonetheless, you still need to seek shelter when thunder roars!

Friday & Saturday will be a bit cooler with highs falling back to the low and mid 80s amidst a good deal of sunshine. By the end of the weekend readings will be climbing back to the upper 80s and perhaps even hitting 90 again!
Have a great week!
