NH1 Top 5: The best restaurants in Nashua

Looking to grab a bite in the Gate City? NH1.com took a look at what customer-reviews on TripAdvisor.com, a website that allows users to write reviews for restaurants, hotels, etc., calls the five best restaurants in Nashua. In order to make the list, there must be a minimum of 30 reviews on each restaurant.

Author's Pick: The Nashua Garden at 121 Main St.

If you like Boston sports and sandwiches, the Nashua Garden is the place for you. Seriously, the sandwiches are wicked awesome. With specials like "Larry Legend," "The Esposito," "The Big Poppy" and even "The Buckner," you can't go wrong. There's also a ton of sweet sports memorabilia on the walls and, for those of age, plenty of beers on tap. If you're looking for a bite in the Nashua area, this place is worth trying out - even if you're a New York fan (just don't tell anyone.)

5) Bertucci's Italian Restaurant at 406 Amherst St.

Bertucci's offers brick-oven pizza and traditional Italian cuisine. TripAdvisor says that Bertucci's is good for its bar scene, outdoor seating and late nights. The wait staff has also received high marks on a number of comments.

3) La Carreta at 139 Daniel Webster Hwy

TripAdvisor says it's good for families with children, the bar scene, large groups, doing business and special occasions. Out of 160 customer reviews, 85 called it "excellent" and 46 called it "very good." Customers recommend the salsa and the grilled steak tacos.

2) Surf at 207 Main St.

There is also a branch of Surf in Portsmouth, in case you're on the Seacoast and looking to try the restaurant without traveling as far.

1) MT's Local Kitchen and Wine Bar at 212 Main St.

MT's will be featured at N.H. Restaurant Week 2015 from March 20-27 and will feature special lunch and dinner prix fixe menus for $19 and $29, respectively.
