NH1.com takes a look at the five highest customer-rated hotels in northern NH according to TripAdvisor.com, a website that allows customers to review hotels.
As someone who grew up in New Hampshire, vacation didn't always mean flying somewhere out of MHT.
In fact, the best vacations I remember were up north at the Mount Washington Hotel. For some reason, this hotel didn't fall under TripAdvisor's "Luxury Resort" category, so I feel it's necessary to make sure this N.H. classic gets a shoutout.
The resort offers an abundance of activities for those of all ages. As a kid, I enjoyed the mountain biking trails and fly fishing, both of which were offered on site. In the winter, a shuttle service is offered to Mount Washington for skiing and boarding.
For adults, "The Cave" tavern is a popular nighttime attraction and the wrap-around veranda provides a nice view to enjoy a drink or a meal. Although the resort is pricey, it's definitely worth experiencing just how breathtakingly beautiful the Mount Washington area truly is.
Located in the White Mountains National Forest, the Seasons Condominium Resort has received high ratings on TripAdvisor for its ability to accommodate families.
Out of 91 customer reviews, 33 have called it "excellent" and 34 have called it "very good."
Amenities include an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a game room, a whiffle ball field, tennis courts, and an ice rink during the winter. Plus wifi is available throughout the resort.
