NH1 News Weather Insider: May 31, 2016

It was a roller-coaster weekend with the weather. We saw record breaking heat on Saturday, a cool Sunday, and a wet and stormy Monday. We are now headed toward more seasonable temperatures this week, which may be welcome for anyone looking to get off this wild weather ride.

For your Tuesday, expect a foggy start to the day but eventually turning into a mostly sunny day with highs in the low 80's. There will be a breeze picking up from the west in the afternoon, this will allow temperatures to get nice and warm, creating the warmest day we will see this week. Overnight, temperatures will fall into the upper 50's and low 60's.

By Wednesday a sea breeze develops and that will help to cool things off just slightly. It's going to be a sunny day with highs in the upper 70's, with slightly cooler temperatures in the low 70's along the coast. This sea breeze is going to feel like an air conditioner on Thursday, bringing temperatures down into the low 70's for much of the state, and seeing even cooler temperatures along the coast as they will struggle to get out of the mid 60's. This cooler air is bringing a chance of drizzle to the coast, and it may creep inland to central locations as well.

For the rest of the week and into the weekend, temperatures stay pretty consistent in the low to mid 70's for much of the state, the upper 60's for the coast. We do have rain moving into the area as the last remnants of Tropical Depression Bonnie move north along the coast. This will provide some occasional showers for Friday, Saturday, and maybe even into Sunday.

Stay tuned to NH1 for the latest updates on this forecast!
