NH1 News Exclusive: Trump denies doing business with Cuba after NH rally

Donald Trump disputed a new report that his representatives violated the U.S. trade embargo against Cuba during a visit in the late 1990’s.

According to Newsweek, Trump Hotel executives visited the communist island in 1998 to meet with officials about doing business there. The report went on to say that Trump company officials spent nearly $70,000 during the trip to Cuba without obtaining the then-necessary clearance from the U.S. Treasury to spend money there.

Asked about the report, Trump said “no. I never did business in Cuba. There’s this guy who has very bad reputation as a reporter. You see what his record is. He wrote something about me in Cuba. No I never did anything in Cuba. I never did a deal in Cuba. I heard about it last night for the first time”

The event in Bedford was Trump’s second rally in the Granite State in two weeks.
