NH1 My Take with Paul Quitadamo: Does Caitlyn Jenner deserve ESPN Arthur Ash Courage award?

Unless you've been living under a rock I'm sure you've seen the photos of Caitlyn Jenner.

As far as I'm concerned if it's not hurting anyone - do what makes you happy.

My issue is that ESPN will be presenting Caitlyn with the Arthur Ash Courage Award.

Typically presented to people like Nelson Mandela and the four men who stopped the hijackers of flight 93 on 9/11.

If it were up to me, someone like Lauren Hill - who's never give up attitude helped her realize her dream of playing for Mount St. Josephs woman's basketball team before an inoperable brain tumor took her life - would be this years recipient.

Her battle was truly courageous and her perseverance was inspiring.

Here's my take, if then-Bruce Jenner was just an ordinary guy with no Kardashian money, no cash to pay for extra procedures to make him look more feminine, no E! reality series, no Vanity fair photo shoot, no endorsement deals and no protection form the the social media PC police, he wouldn't have gone through with it.

Not like people who go through the transitioning process without all that and have to deal with all the real world problems that come with it.

Now if Caitlyn plans donating some of the half-billion dollars she's projected to make over the next 10 years to the LGBT, I may change my mind, but I'm not holding my breath.
