NH1 Meteorologist Clayton Stiver's Fall Foliage Update: Sept. 23, 2014
NH1 Chief Meteorologist - NH1.com
For fall foliage, some patchy color is starting to show up across much of the Granite State. Swamp maples have turned to some very vibrent colors. If you head up to the North Woods and higher elevations of the Mountains, moderate color can be seen. The color change is about 25%-40% of peak here. Most of the rest of the state is still sitting at 5%-20% with the Seacoast having the least amount of color which is typically the case this time of year. Typical max peak periods for much of the Granite State south of the North Woods and Mountains would be beginning to middle of October with the Seacoast seeing the latest peak period.
