NH1 First Alert Weather: Welcome to winter, here's what to expect in NH the rest of Tuesday

NH1 Chief Meteorologist - NH1.com

CONCORD - Welcome to winter!

Accumulating snow across New Hampshire, with sleet mixing in has made for slippery travel and snow covered roads this morning.

The heaviest precipitation will be happening the morning, and becoming lighter during the afternoon. Sleet and pockets of freezing rain will become more widespread during the afternoon, with a change to rain at the Seacoast.

The mountains are doing great with the potential of 8-12" of snow by the time this ends completely tonight! We are still going to have to watch out for slick travel this evening.

Areas of freezing rain, and freezing drizzle will linger making for a slight glaze on colder surfaces across western and southern New Hampshire.
