NH1 FIRST ALERT WEATHER - Watch LIVE NOW here: Nor'easter to strike NH and Mass.
Who knew we would have to wait until February, but old man winter has finally arrived! A Nor'easter is headed this way that will significantly impact the evening commute on Monday.
WATCH LIVE: NH1 News will be live streaming on the web Monday beginning at 7 a.m. to give you the latest on this developing storm
The entire viewing area can expect to see snow on Monday afternoon and evening, but locations to the south will see significantly more than the northern location.
Snow begins tomorrow morning in the Boston area and along the Cape, and heads north during the day. The deepening low pressure system will cause winds to increase, where we will see gusts to 35 mph along the seacoast and gusts over 50 mph south of Boston and out on the Cape. With the snow and temperatures in the 20's, it's going to be a brutal day for southern locations, where there is currently a Blizzard Warning, so expect cold, windy, snowy conditions to drastically reduce visibility. Travel in these locations is not recommended!
Expect 1-3" of snow in northern and western locations, 3-6" for central and southern New Hampshire, 6-12" in eastern Massachusetts, and over a foot south and east of Boston.
