NH1 FIRST ALERT WEATHER WARNING: Winter Weather Advisory for NH from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m.

NH1 Chief Meteorologist -

A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for New Hampshire for 3 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday.

There's also a Winter Storm Warning for portions of Southern New England.

Snow will break out across Southern New Hampshire around 4 in the morning and start to fill in by 6 a.m. The heaviest snow is expected during the morning commute hours of 6 to 10 a.m.

Roads are expected to quickly become snow covered. Snow may fall at times up to 1" per hour in heavier bands of snow. This will lead to low visibilities and hazardous travel.

The heaviest snow will be in southern New England, but a widespread 3-5" of snow will be possible across southern and southeast New Hampshire, with amounts falling off in the North and West.

Snow will quickly taper off early Friday afternoon.
