NH1 First Alert Weather: Sunny, But Breezy Tuesday
Source: NH1 Meteorologist
The major weather story over the past two days has been the wind. Tuesday will be a breezy day, but not as windy as Sunday and Monday, with northwesterly wind gusts closer to 20 or 25 mph. High pressure will be in control of our weather for most of the week, resulting in cool nights and mild to warm afternoons. Highs on Tuesday will generally be in the middle to upper 70s.
Wednesday should be a nice day with sunshine and highs in the lower 80s. Pleasant weather continues into Thursday, but a lighter wind may cool the coast a bit during the afternoon. Highs inland will be in the 80s again, but 70s are likely closer to the water.
A disturbance may move into the region Thursday night into Friday. This may bring more clouds to the region, and an easterly wind will likely keep the seacoast cooler. There is a low chance for a few showers, but most of the rain should stay well south of New England.
There is some uncertainty in the forecast for the upcoming weekend. Saturday currently looks dry with sunshine. There is a low risk of clouds and a few showers for Father's Day, dependent on the track of an ocean storm. Most guidance suggests a drier weekend, but one of our reliable models does have clouds and showers for Sunday. Check back with NH1 for important updates on this forecast over the next few days.
Beyond that, there are signs for a warming trend next week. Much of the nation could be quite warm, with above-average temperatures.
Have a great Tuesday!
