NH1 FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Snow turning into rain, expect flooding and high winds in NH


The snow ended in the early morning hours as it changed over to sleet and freezing rain.

If the roads haven't been treated or kept up - and with the cold temperatures we had this weekend - it could be a messy morning commute with temperatures in the 30's.

The mixed precipitation will lift north during the day and change over to rain from south to north. Expect scattered showers during the day with highs in the upper 40's and low 50's, then heavy rain just in time for the evening commute. With this heavy rain, expect high gusty winds and flooding, especially along coastal areas. After this heavy rain passes, expect temperatures to drop back down into the 30's.

The rest of the week brings much calmer weather with temperatures in the 40's with a chance of flurries on Wednesday, and temperatures in the 30's on Thursday and Friday. Another storm, similar to Tuesday's, may make it's way to the area on Friday night into Saturday.
