NH1 First Alert Weather: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued Until Midnight

NH1 Meteorologist

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of New Hampshire until 12 a.m. Saturday.

A watch means conditions are favorable for damaging thunderstorms in and around the watch area. Warnings are issued for individual storms if they have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts, large hail, or a tornado.

Downpours and thunderstorms will be moving through New Hampshire during the evening and overnight hours. The storms will produce frequent lightning and heavy rain. Isolated storms may become severe, producing hail and damaging winds.

Check the Interactive Radar on NH1.com to track the storms as they develop.

The NH1 First Alert Weather Team will have updates on NH1 News at 10 and as conditions warrant.
