NH1 First Alert Weather: Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for much of NH until 8pm
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for much of New Hampshire until 8 p.m. Saturday.
The watch has been expanded to include all of central and southern New Hampshire.
A watch means conditions are favorable for damaging thunderstorms in and around the watch area. Warnings are issued for individual storms if they have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts, large hail, or a tornado.
Downpours and thunderstorms will be moving from northwest to southeast across the state during the afternoon and evening. The stronger storms will be capable of producing damaging winds.
Check the Interactive Radar on NH1.com to track the storms as they move through the state.
