NH1 First Alert Weather: Mostly cloudy with a few showers Sunday, then clearing for the holiday
Sunday will be a bit of a gray day in parts of the state.
A cold front will slowly move through during the day. So, expect some scattered showers, especially and southern and eastern New Hampshire, during the first half of the day. It'll likely remain cloudy in southeast areas all day long. Partial sunshine will start to break out in western and northern areas late in the afternoon. It will be a cooler day, with highs in the 50s north to around 60 south.
Columbus Day will be delightful with lots of sunshine, but it'll be a cooler day. Morning lows will be in the 30s, and afternoon highs will be in the 50s.
Monday night will be even colder, with a few spots falling below freezing Tuesday morning.
High pressure remains overhead into Tuesday, so it'll be a nice day with sunshine and moderating temperatures. Highs will be in the 60s for most.
More clouds will start to stream into the state on Wednesday, so we'll find a partly to perhaps mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures could approach 70 degrees in the warmest spots, but a light wind will allow a cool seabreeze at the coast.
There will be a disturbance approaching in the Thursday timeframe, perhaps with a few showers, but most areas should be dry.
