NH1 First Alert Weather: More clouds around today, but only a few showers in NH
High temperatures on Friday were in the upper 80s and lower 90s across the Granite State, with higher than usual humidity for the middle of September. However, some changes are ahead this weekend.
Saturday will begin with more clouds than sun, especially in southern New Hampshire. A warm front will be lifting through the state during the day, and a few showers are possible ahead of it. Most of the time will be dry. A cooler onshore breeze will keep temperatures at the seacoast in the lower 70s for highs. Breaks of sunshine will develop during the afternoon inland, and it may become partly to even mostly sunny for a time in western and southern New Hampshire during the afternoon. Areas with
It will be mild and muggy Saturday night, with a partly cloudy sky and overnight lows generally in the 60s.
A cold front will move through the state on Sunday. We'll start the morning with clouds around, and a spot shower through midday. The front will move through during the early afternoon, and the sky will clear as it passes through. A northwesterly breeze will bring sunshine, and temperatures warming to around 80 in southern New Hampshire during the afternoon. Central and northern areas will stay in the 70s, as cooler air moves in.
High pressure builds in for the beginning of the week. As a result, Monday and Tuesday mornings will both be chilly - with lows in many areas in the 40s. Nice, dry air and sunshine will allow a nice recovery each afternoon, however, with highs in the 70s on Monday and lower 80s in spots on Tuesday.
The next disturbance comes on Wednesday, with a few showers. The true feel of fall may arrive by the end of next week.
Have a great weekend!
