NH1 First Alert Weather: Improving weather, warming trend for NH
It was a cool, damp start to the week, but we are heading in the right direction weather-wise.
Clouds will be around to start off the day Tuesday, and there can be a few scattered showers, especially in western and southern New Hampshire. High pressure will begin to build into the region during the day. Expect increasing sunshine for the afternoon.
Temperatures will respond to the sunshine, warming into the 70s in most places. The areas with the most sunshine may hit the 80 degree mark. An easterly wind will keep the seacoast in the lower to middle 70s.
Tuesday night will be clear, cool, and comfortable with lows in the 50s.
Expect lots of sun, with just a few clouds during the afternoon on Wednesday. Lighter winds will allow a seabreeze to develop, keeping temperatures at the beaches in the 70s. Inland areas will rise into the low and middle 80s for highs.
It will turn a bit more humid for Thursday with a mix of hazy sunshine and clouds. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s.
Hazy, hot, and humid weather will return Friday, with highs in the 80s to around 90 degrees.
The next front will approach New England late in the day on Friday. An isolated thunderstorm is possible later Friday, but more widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday night into Saturday morning.
Right now, it appears drier weather will move in during the weekend, with temperatures in the 80s.
