NH1 First Alert Weather: First snow of the season could bring as much as 10 inches to NH

Our first snow storm of the season is on its way!

Snow will begin very early Tuesday morning across the area making for a messy Tuesday morning commute. Snow will be changing to sleet or freezing rain during the morning hours between 9-11 a.m.f or northern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire after 2-5 inches of snow falls.

For central New Hampshire, snow will change to rain a little later, near noon, after 4-6 inches of snow falls.

Locations in Northern New Hampshire will see sleet later in the afternoon, with totals between 5-10 inches. Precipitation will continue past sunset but will be mostly rain, which will impact the evening commute as well.

Stay with NH1 News and for the latest on this developing weather event. Over the next 72 hours we will continue to update and refine this projection.

It’s the NH1 First Alert Weather promise: We’ll tell you about severe weather 72 hours before it strikes so you can keep your family safe.
