NH1 First Alert Weather: First frost expected Sunday, Monday morning in parts of NH
The coldest weather in months is coming to the Granite State.
Frost advisories and freeze warnings have been issued for northern New Hampshire from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday, where a widespread frost is expected.
The greatest threat of frost will be during the early morning hours of Sunday.
In Coos county, a killing freeze is likely, with low temperatures near 32 degrees.
Southeastern New Hampshire won't be quite as chilly Sunday morning, with low temperatures near 40 degrees from Manchester to the seacoast.
The cooler valleys of western New Hampshire may dip into the 30s for a time Sunday morning, and patchy areas of frost are possible.
More of the state will experience temperatures in the 30s early Monday morning. Frost advisories will likely be expanded to parts of central and southern New Hampshire, where a more widespread frost will become possible.
