NH1 First Alert Weather: Few showers late Sunday, clearing for Halloween in NH
Temperatures on Sunday with a partly sunny sky should manage to reach the low and mid 50s in southern New Hampshire. Highs will be in the 40s to the north. A weak system will mostly miss us, moving to our south Sunday afternoon and night. On the northern edge of the system, a few showers are likely to move into southern New Hampshire during this time.
High pressure builds in for the start of the workweek. Expect a mostly sunny sky on Monday but it will be a cooler day. Highs will be in the 40s to near 50, from north to south. Trick-or-treaters Monday night may need an extra layer. Although the wind will be fairly light, temperatures will be falling through the 40s and even into the upper 30s in northern areas.
Tuesday morning will be chilly, with lows in the 20s north and west to 30s south and east. Milder air starts to return to New Hampshire on Tuesday. However, during this time of year, it can take a lot more effort to get milder air into New England. More clouds will be around on Tuesday, with afternoon highs mostly in the 50s.
A southwesterly wind should develop on Wednesday, with highs in the 60s, well above average.
The next cold front approaches Thursday. If it slows down, and arrives much later in the day, we have another chance of rising into the 60s with partly sunny skies. At this time, it appears showers are possible Thursday afternoon into Thursday night, though the timing is still subject to change.
Cooler air arrives for next Friday and Saturday.
