NH1 Chief Meteorologist Clayton Stiver's Fall Foliage Update: Oct. 2nd

NH1 Chief Meteorologist - NH1.com

Spectacular colors are now on display across much of the northern part of the Granite State. The highest elevations of the White Mountains along with all of the Great North Woods are now at peak. The Upper Valley is close to peak and should be there within a few days. The Lakes Region is closing in on the high range while colors are rapidly changing across the Merrimack Valley and Monadnock. There is still about 1-2 weeks to go here til we hit peak. The Seacoast is showing a little more color but we still have around 3 weeks here til peak conditions are reached. Leaf drop has picked up across a good chunk of the state, with some moderate levels starting to show up across the Mountains and Great North Woods. The levels remain low enough though that sightseeing should still be just fine. Don't wait too much longer though for northern parts of the Granite State.
