NH1 7-Day Forecast for Monday April 13, 2015
If you liked Sunday's weather then you'll love Monday!
Something to also keep in mind with the beautiful stretch ahead that I bet you haven't thought of is the strength of the sun and getting a sun burn. That's right, I'm talking about using sunscreen this week. If you are going to be outside for any length of time you'll need some sunscreen. At this time of year people forget how strong the sun's rays are and really the sun is just as strong now as it is in late-August.
High pressure will slide off the coast Monday which will push some delightfully dry, warm springtime temperatures our way on southwesterly winds. Readings for the entire week will be above normal (56 is Concord's daily average high right now)! High temperatures Monday will climb into the mid and upper 60s for many with some low 70s in southern NH, except for the seacoast. That chilly ocean water will keep temperatures along the shore in the mid 60s.
A cold front comes through with a few showers for late Monday night and Tuesday morning, but by Tuesday afternoon the sun will return. A good deal of sunshine will last throughout the remainder of the week with temperatures holding mostly in the upper 50s and low 60s. I guess it's time to start thinking about yardwork again.
The next weather system will be developing Friday night/Saturday that currently looks like it bring a period of showers, but that's a long way off and there's plenty of time for it to take on a bit of a different look for us. In the meantime, enjoy the week ahead!
