A N.H. woman is being mourned by her family after she became the victim of a murder-suicide in Wilmington, N.C.
According to the Wilmington Star News, 23-year-old Rebecca Jones was killed Monday afternoon by her boyfriend, a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve sergeant.
Her boyfriend, Justin Hakeem Walker, 26, then drove to an indoor shooting range and killed himself, leaving behind a note that led police to Jones’ body, the source reports.
Jones’ Facebook page describes her as a graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey. Authorities said it doesn’t appear Jones was shot, but autopsy results have not yet been released.
An online wedding registry indicates that the couple intended to marry in April 2017 and had been dating since 2011.
The family of Jones has set up a GoFundMe page seeking help with Jones’ funeral expenses and the family’s travel expenses.
