NH veteran finally gets funeral 18 years after he was cremated

A New Hampshire veteran is finally receiving a burial service, 18 years after his death.

Fredrick Everett Russell had been missing from anyone's radar for a long time. Kathleen Moore, 53, of Missouri, allegedly sought out her long-lost father after almost 50 years.

She found that his ashes had been in a Tilton funeral home for nearly two decades, according to the Union Leader.

Moore was adopted when she was five-years-old. She found five half-siblings as a result of this search.

Russell was a private in the Army, he worked as a mechanic in Germany for two years during the Korean war. He finished his years as a mechanic in Chester, NH.
