NH toddler immunization rates 2nd in the country
CONCORD – The Centers for Disease Control released a report Thursday announcing immunization rates among NH toddlers has improved more than 80 percent in the past year.
According to the Concord Monitor, the state’s immunization rates top the national target for 2020.
The report measures vaccination rates for children ages 19 to 35 months from the five vaccines that help protect toddlers against a number of diseases.
NH rates are second in the nation. Maine topped the list with a 16 percent increase after introducing universal free vaccines for children.
Here in the Granite State, vaccines for 16 diseases are administered to any state resident under the age of 19 for free.
