NH to have 60-plus health care plans in 2015

The Associated Press

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - People buying health care in New Hampshire starting next month will have 40 individual plans and 21 small business plans to choose from.

Covering New Hampshire on Monday also released rates for three of the five carriers that will sell plans starting Nov. 15. For comparison purposes, the rates for a 40-year-old non-smoker are:

- For Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Hampshire, $281 per month.

- Maine Community Health Options, $288 per month.

- Harvard Pilgrim Care, $279 per month.

Two other carriers, Minuteman Health and Assurant Health, have not released rates yet.

Anthem was the only company selling health plans through the new marketplace this year.

Each hospital in the state is expected to be included in at least three of the provider networks.
