NH suspected thief blocks out sun, fails to block out identifying witnesses and video surveillance

MERRIMACK — While the thief of a sunglasses store may have been able to block out the sun, he was unable to block out the video surveillance that caught and identified him multiple times.

Merrimack Police arrested Vincent B. Wynn, 51 of Manchester, on a warrant charging him with theft by unauthorized taking.

The issuance of the warrant stemmed from a reported theft of sunglasses at Solstice Sunglasses, located at the Merrimack Premium Outlets, on April 11. On that date, police learned that Wynn had been involved in a number of thefts of sunglasses at that location over the month of April.

Wynn was identified through both witness accounts and the video surveillance.

A total of 10 sunglasses valued in excess of $3,000 were taken.

After being located and arrested, Wynn was processed on the warrant and released on $5,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack Circuit Court on July 27.
