CONCORD - Safety is definitely a priority for children as they make their way to and from school.
While some of these tips seem obvious, kids have been out of the routine for a while, and unfortunately, accidents still do happen.
First of all, for kids walking to school, remember to always cross streets at corners with traffic signals and crosswalks.
And if you can't use a crosswalk, always walk facing traffic.
If you can, buy or wear reflective materials on jackets, wrist bands or backpacks.
Also, remind kids at bus stop to never talk to strangers.
And for those people driving to school, remember to slow down in school zones and watch for children crossing streets.
