NH State Troopers cracking down on speeding motorists

EPPING - New Hampshire State Troopers are cracking down on speeding drivers after they've seen a dangerous trend of speeds over 100 miles per hour.

An NH1 camera rode along with a trooper Tuesday as he monitored speeds on Routes 101 and 95.

Out of seven vehicle stops, four of the drivers were traveling over 80mph with the highest clocking in at 89mph.

Troopers say they're using all of the tools they have to crack down on speeding including an airplane.

In 2013, 135 people died in crashes on New Hampshire roads. Speed was a factor in at least 25 percent of them.
