NH State Rep. Kyle Tasker - accused of trying to lure teen for sex - resigns post
CONCORD - With no fanfare or public comment, the New Hampshire House today received the resignation of State Rep. Kyle Tasker, R-Nottingham following his arrest last week on sex and drug charges.
Tasker was released on bail, accused of trying to lure a 14-year old to have sex with him and possessing large quantities of drugs.
House Speaker Shawn Jasper, R-Hudson, had called on him to quit and called the charges "disgusting if true."
Tasker was in his third term in the House.
After House Clerk Paul Smith read the brief letter from Tasker, a few House members applauded.
Tasker faces one charge of certain uses of a computer prohibited, which is a class B felony, and three charges of possession of a controlled drug, all class A felonies.
Tasker had been held in the Rockingham County Jail on $250,000 bail, but was released under bail conditions Monday.
