NH state police search for felon who escaped custody in Manchester

The Associated Press

MANCHESTER (AP) — New Hampshire state police are looking for an inmate who escaped from state custody.

Authorities say 37-year-old Andrew Shea was being held at the Department of Correction's Calumet Halfway House for Men in Manchester when he escaped Friday evening when Corrections officers tried to take him into custody for being out of place.

Shea was serving time for two felony armed robberies and possession of a firearm.

His earliest date of release was January 2017.

Shea is 6 feet tall, weighing 265 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police say he has a tribal tattoo on his neck and was wearing khaki shorts and a black short sleeve shirt.

Anyone with information about the inmate is asked to contact state police or the Corrections Department.
