NH State Police aircraft catches man driving 109 mph during I-95's Drive to Save Lives campaign

HAMPTON — A State Trooper monitoring traffic from an aircraft clocked a Massachusetts man traveling 109 mph in a posted 65 mph speed zone on Interstate 95 during the highway's Drive to Save Lives campaign.

The trooper radioed to other troopers on the ground after observing the car traveling at a high rate of speed Sunday around 7:24 a.m.

The car passed by the ground trooper's location and was subsequently stopped.

The trooper identified the driver as Ramone Savoury, 26 of Edgartown.

Savoury allegedly said he was traveling at that speed because he was a driver trying to get a client to a location.

The trooper arrested Savoury and charged him with reckless driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 15.
