HOOKSETT - Die-hard Star Wars fans lined up outside Cinemagic in Hooksett before the doors opened at 11:30AM, to be sure they got the best seats for the first showing of Star Wars The Force Awakens.
NH1 spoke with a group of three guys who were first in line. They all agree Episode VII will make up for their disappoint with Episodes I-III. Like many, they bought their tickets the moment they were released back in October.
Some showed up dressed as Jedi knights, others supporting the "Dark Side" wearing storm trooper or Darth Vader sweaters.
Many, like Frank Stetson of Meredith, who was dressed as a Jedi, were looking forward to seeing how this story picks up where Return of the Jedi left off.
"I'm looking forward to see how they bring the series full circle back to the original trilogy and see how it matches up to that," Stetson said.
It's a family affair, and for many it's a tradition dating back to childhood. Rachel Banach of Goffstown was excited to see the new film with her dad.
"He took to the when they re-released the original ones and now it's kind of come full circle and we've got my younger sister coming," Banach said.
At one point, a man with a clarinet started playing the Star Wars theme song and got a huge reaction from the crowd.
