WATERVILLE VALLEY (AP) - Giving new meaning to "bunny slope," several New Hampshire ski areas will be open for Easter Sunday and beyond.
While the end of March often brings the ski season to a close, enough snow has stuck around at some resorts to allow schedules to be stretched into April.
Both Crotched Mountain and Cranmore Mountain are re-opening for this weekend, and are hosting Easter egg hunts on Sunday. Waterville Valley had planned to close Sunday, but will now re-open for one additional weekend. Loon Mountain will remain open daily through April 19, while Bretton Woods will be open daily through April 12 and then again April 18-20.
Both Cannon Mountain and Mount Sunapee had planned to close April 12 but will stay open daily through April 19.
