NH Sen. Shaheen to attend foreign affairs, defense conference in Canada

CONCORD (AP) — Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire is part of a Congressional delegation attending a foreign affairs and defense conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Shaheen, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, will participate in a session discussing NATO on Saturday. She also will join a roundtable meeting hosted by the Canadian American Business Council to discuss the importance of U.S.-Canada trade and economic relations with small business leaders.

The Halifax International Security Forum, which runs Friday through Sunday, is a major international conference on regional and global security.
