NH Science Teachers Association discusses encouraging STEM research
DERRY (AP) - Sessions devoted to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math - better known as STEM - are up for discussion at a meeting of the New Hampshire Science Teachers Association.
Their spring conference Saturday is looking at ways to encourage students' independent research, individualize curriculum and use STEM skills in a field ecology setting.
Other subjects to be discussed include chemistry, Newton's laws and agriculture, as well as fracking, climate change and Hollywood's portrayal of scientific concepts.
The conference was being held at Pinkerton Academy in Derry.
