NH school district mourns loss of superintendent who died from sudden illness
EXETER — A New Hampshire school district is mourning the loss of their superintendent after he died from a sudden illness.
Esther Asbell, Assistant Superintendent of SAU 16, announced the passing of Superintendent Michael Morgan through an email to staff and families Sunday night.
"The Central Office Administration Team is deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Superintendent Michael A. Morgan this morning after a sudden illness. Mr. Morgan was a dedicated professional who served the communities of SAU 16 with pride for the last nine years," Asbell wrote.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church in Exeter, Friday at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home in Exeter.

Private burial will be held in Berlin.
Morgan announced in May his plans to retire at the end of the 2018 school year and then announced June 5 that he was taking a medical leave, Seacoastonline reported.
