DOVER — A small crowd of patients waited outside of New Hampshire's second medical marijuana dispensary as it opened it's doors for the first time Thursday.
Temescal Wellness in Dover has 121 registered patients. Each patient obtained a medical marijuana ID card following approval from a licensed physician and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The store is only open to licensed patients.
Five dispensaries have been approved across the state.
The first one, Sanctuary ATC, opened Saturday in Plymouth.
Temescal Wellness is expecting to open a second location in Lebanon in the next few weeks.
According to DHHS, 806 people have applied for ID cards statewide. 558 cards have been approved.
