NH rider wins Interscholastic Equestrian Association Championship
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A New Hampshire youth competitive horse rider has won the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) National Championship in Oklahoma City.
Rette Solomon, from Wilmot, participated in the IEA Western Competition in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 1. Solomon rides for Cedar Ridge Equestrians of Barre, Vermont, and is coached by American Quarter Horse Association Professional, Kimberly Bisson.
Solomon previously won the Zone 1 competition in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on May 20 to advance to the National Championship.
She was one of two competitors from New England to advance to the Oklahoma competition.
Solomon went on to win the Junior Varsity Novice Division and was awarded a custom saddle, championship belt buckle, commemorative silver plate, a silver photo frame and an engraved leather bracelet.
She was the only National Champion from New England.
