CONCORD - Do you recall the New Hampshire Presidential Primary last month? Your tax dollars do.

According to NHPR, security cost the state more than $250,000. Over the course of nine months candidates campaigned in the Granite State and constant security was required even if there weren’t any incidents that arose.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Ben Carson, Gov. Chris Christie and former president Bill Clinton were provided police security at all times.

The final cost was $266,559 - including overtime costs, regular pay, comp time, and the relevant retirement and health benefits for the state troopers who provided this coverage.
