NH police want to know why Rochester woman crashed her SUV into utility pole
ROCHESTER — Authorities are questioning why a Farmington woman crashed her SUV on Maple Street on Sunday night.
Police responded to the area of 27 Maple St. about 8:23 Sunday night for a report of a vehicle into a pole. Responding officers found a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by Katherine Canney, 27, had slammed its left, front end into a utility pole.
Rochester police determined that the vehicle was travelling south on the one-way portion of Maple Street. The reason for the vehicle turning into the pole is still under investigation.
A passenger who was identified as Kyle Hamel, 27, of Rochester was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for reasons unrelated to the accident.
There was minor damage to the pole and there was no reported loss of power in the area related to the accident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
