NH police: Violent, head-on crash caused by driver under influence of prescription drugs


MARLBOROUGH –Ty Newman, 23, was allegedly driving under the influence of prescription drugs when he crossed over the center line on Route 124 and hit another car.

According to State Police, Newman was driving on Route 124 Monday evening when he drifted into the other lane and hit a car with Elizabeth Marshall and Brian Bishoff in it.

All three people involved were transported to area hospitals and treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Newman was arrested at the hospital and charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of drugs.
