NH police mourning after Hampstead officer, 38, loses 15-month battle with cancer


Hampstead police officer Matt Moore has lost his battle with cancer.

He passed away Saurday morning, 15-months after being diagnosed.

After suffering a seizure in the fall of 2014 Moore learned he had stage 3 brain cancer.

Moore was a husband and a father of two children.

Before working for He also worked at the Sandown and Pelham police departments and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Police departments across the state rallied around Moore during his battle.

The foundation "No Moore Cancer" was created to benefit the young family.
